Quiz night at Le Saigon

This is one of the evenings out I enjoy. Le Saigon is a Vietnamese restaurant in Gulshan 2, and runs a monthly quiz. For a small fee yout get 6 rounds (i think) with a cash prize at the end, and also some buffet food thrown in too (nice, but a bit spicy for me). For those that drink alcohol you can bring your own booze.

The quiz is quite tough, or maybe me and my friends are quite thick! And it can also get quite competitive. But it's a fun night out in Dhaka. We need more things like this!

Pilates at Amazon Club, Gulshan

Here's another activity I can recommend; if you have a slightly masochistic streak that is!

I go to a pilates class twice a week at Amazon Club, Road 80 in Gulshan 2. It's incredibly hard work, and you feel that you've had a really tough work out by the end of an hour. However I feel much better for it.

The group who attend are a nice bunch of people, as is Shazia the excellent instructor.

This was the 1st trip out of Dhaka we did. We took a flight down to Cox's Bazar via Royal Bengal, who were suprisingly efficient. On arrival it was a short trip to the hotel, the Prasad Paradise. I guess something got lost in translation there.....

The beach itself was indeed very big, but that's it really. We ended up being the star attraction of the beach with all the locals crowding round our deckchairs and staring and pointing at us. Not fun. Some of the creepier men even started filming ...
